What we treat

Common problems, unhurried treatment.

No carousel of services that we don't really do. Three areas — done properly, with time to assess before treating.

i.

Back, neck & shoulder pain

The everyday stuff — desk pain, gym strains, postural issues, recurrent stiffness. Movement screen first, hands-on treatment second, exercises you'll actually do third.

Most common
ii.

Sports & injury rehab

Whether the goal is back-on-the-field or just back-on-your-feet, treatment paced to where you are in the recovery — not a generic protocol.

Run-club friendly
iii.

Post-surgical & chronic care

Working alongside your surgeon, GP, or specialist. Long-form rehab plans for hips, knees, shoulders — and ongoing support for chronic conditions where consistent care matters.

Why grassroots

Independent on purpose.

Grassroots is one physio, one room, by design. Not a clinic with rotating staff. Not a chain with KPI dashboards. The same hands that take your first appointment are the ones that follow you through.

The shared site at Dolphins Fitness & Aquatic was intentional too — easy parking, no medical-foyer feeling, and the option to roll straight into a pool or gym session as part of rehab when it makes sense.

A clinic that's built around the patient rather than the schedule is harder to scale, which is the whole point.

If that's the kind of physio you've been looking for, we'd love to meet you.

Your visit

What the first session looks like.

i

Conversation, then a screen

Twenty-minute conversation about what brought you in, your history, what you've already tried. A movement screen to see what your body is actually doing. No treatment yet.

ii

A plan, written down

You leave with a clear picture: what's likely going on, how many sessions we're talking about, what to do between visits, and how we'll know it's working.

iii

Treatment that fits the day

From there, sessions are paced to where you are. Hands-on work, exercise prescription, education — in whatever combination is useful that day. Plans change as you do.

"I've been going to Tom for years and he has been nothing but amazing. I've had many injuries and tom's had a plan for all of them. His attention to detail is second to none and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. It's hard to find a physio …"

"I had been struggling with Achilles pain and could not see a way through. Tom helped me get back to running and playing soccer and has given me the tools I need to manage my injury if it flares up again."
